My first DOS Experience

Hi everyone.

Well, my first dos experience took place when I was working for Radio Shack in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada back in 1988. The first game I played at the store was a game we are all familiar with, and it's Starflight. I really can't quite explain the feeling I had while playing this game, but I can tell you I would be the first person the store manager saw when he arrived to open the store (I made sure he wouldn't see me playing the game when he arrived). Since I was the assistant manager, I had the keys to go in anytime I wished. The crazy thing was the store manager had no idea I fell in love with this game so I would go in at 3am, and play the game until he arrived, and soon Sundays became known as my Starflight Day.

As time went by, and as more games arrived to the store, well let's just say I had my pick of the litter. I would open every game that would arrive at the store, and we had a Vac Pack machine to reseal the game's, so no one was the wiser.

Oh, one more thing about the manager seeing me being the first as he arrived...in the end I was given my own store for my dedication to the company, who said gaming doesn't pay off?

Cheers...
